Photo Story Friday - Toothless

Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

Toothless

So as you may recall a PSF of past I posted a picture of my son on his Kindergarten graduation with his two front teeth being all crooked. It seems as though the baby teeth didn't want to fall out and instead just get pushed aside. So we decided to take him to the dentist to see if this could be a problem with the big tooth that has already erupted. I expected full well for him to want to take the really funky one out but when he said he wanted to pull the both I was stunned. Its too early to pull both of his teeth. He's not even 6 yet! The dentist thought it would be best to get them both, since the roots were dissolved completely, and chances are the second tooth would also have the same problem. The dentist gave him some laughing gas through his 'clown nose' and numbed him up. In two seconds, both teeth were gone. Man, he looks like a big boy now. :( Now he sleeps as he dreams of the tooth fairy. I wonder if she will give him extra money for two teeth at one time??

Let me just say that tooth fairy will be dropping some MAJOR cash for all that!

WOW. I couldn't believe it when you said they PULLED THEM with only gas! What a tough little cookie he is. Just reading that made me grimmace.

But the photo? Perfect. Again.

Great smile! The tooth fairy always forgets to come to our house. She has a million excuses too! (How many national holidays can a toothfairy have?)

Don't forget his Auntie DeAnn told him the tooth fairy leaves $20's!

hole in the fence ;-)

Hope you got to bring the teeth home to put under the pillow. Otherwise you'll have to come up with some story about how the dentist overnights the teeth to the tooth fairy and the tooth fairy sends the "reward" directly to him :-)

Teeth, or no teeth, he's a cutie!

My dog had the same issue. :) Can't remember if any of my kids did, they're all teens. My dog's only 4 so I remember hers. :)

My stepson had the same thing half of his teeth grew in before the baby ones were gone, alas we're headed for braces.
Great shot!

That is the cutest toothless grin! What a tough little guy to let the dentist pull them.

Cynthia June 29, 2008 at 10:48 PM
