Photo Hunt - Old Fashioned
This week's photo hunt theme fit directly with our Friday night dinner. Mr Z brought home his Hebrew School class's Shabbat Box. We used this box and decided to have an Old Fashioned Shabbat dinner. We dressed up the table, lit candles, said the blessings for the Wine (sparkling grape juice for the kids), ate Challah and had Matzoh Ball Soup and Chicken. Here are two shots of the kids from dinner.

Great pictures!
How COOL is that! Great fun to carry on the old traditions! (would have fit with last week's "important" too!) I never knew the little girls wore the ... oh, if I try to spell it, I'll botch it good - but the little hats! (Yarmeka???) I thought only the boys/men wore them!
Melli took the words right out of my mouth. That is VERY COOL that you're teaching the kids old customs.
Those pictures are GREAT, btw. Good job!

That's a great thing to be teaching them at an early age of another customs! And I LOVE your photos!!!
Wow cute kids and yummy food! lol! Great shot of making the photo look old. Happy weekend!
Cool!
#1 came home with a command that we send a picture of him celebrating Shabbat and I just stared at it. We celebrate Shabbat. It's not a photo opportunity. It's something for the four of us to do together, you know?
Of course, if my table looked that good, I might whip out the camera...
very nice.
They are cutie patooties!
I love Challah bread. Yummy.
Great fun! Those pics are awesome! What memories you created by sharing this with the kiddos!
No in general girls to not wear them but I didn't feel like fighting with my 2 year old whose tempter tantrum about getting a hat too was not worth fighting.
