This is what Mr Z's tongue looked like after having cake with blue icing. He thought it was delish, mommy wondered why they have to use so much food coloring in cakes these days.....
My son had his first birthday cake yesterday and ate some cake (first time!) and today it came out somewhere else looking eerily the same color as it did going in. Too much food coloring indeed!
LOL I made Itai a wizard hat cake last year and all the children ended up with their whole mouths dyed blue (6 year olds are not the world's neatest cake eaters). It was pretty funny.
Maybe blue tongue lizards eat blue frosting too .That is going to be my challenge - birthday cakes without too much artificial colourings. It sounds delicious though.

My students had blue candy canes before winter break and their tongues looked the same. Delicious is well illustrated!
The whole tongue is blue, it must have been a really delicious cake. :)
