Doing our part
Of all the 'symbols' my 5 year old knows, this is the one he points out the most. As parents we are trying to instill in them the importance of reducing our waste. I want so much for them to enjoy the beauty of this Earth and share it with their grand-kids.

One of my kids came home once and asked why we don't recycle. I took him in to the garage and showed him the huge pile of cardboard boxes and reminded how once every 3 months when the garage is covered in cardboard we load the car up and take it to the recycle center. He was satisfied.
Excellent.
I have seen a bunch of studies that say recycling uses more energy than the production of new goods. Not saying we shouldn't do it necessarily.
